Larsen Ranch

Larsen Ranch started breeding registered Angus cattle in 1949, when Chet Larsen started with about 25 head of cattle.  Cattle were sold private treaty until 1974, when we began our annual production sale at the ranch, selling 130 yearling angus bulls each year.   

Larsen Ranch started AI’ing in 1982 to improve our herd and further our mission to provide a package of sound, balanced traits in our bulls.  This, in turn, leaves you with a top set of replacement female for use in your program.

We are currently running about 300 registered Angus cows and 600 purebred Black Angus commercial cows and feel we have developed a very high-performing and efficient cow herd.  We thank you for your interest in our breeding program and look forward to seeing you at the annual sale, held each year on the 4^th Monday in March.
